Steven Perkins

Steven Perkins is the Senior Pastor and Founder of New Direction Grace Church- Chicago. He has served in ministry and worked in the non-profit sector for over 20 years. His leadership spans in various fields including sports, community and social services, and training and development. He also provides executive coaching, specifically to new leaders who are beginning their organizational journey.  

Steven is passionate about spreading the Good News. After being ordained as Pastor in June 2018, he and his wife Maureen began the mission of teaching the doctrine of The Gospel of Grace.  Debunking religious rhetorics and traditions, they focused on (re)learning the Bible through a 'grace lens', from understanding the covenants to receiving salvation by faith in Christ alone, not by works.  This new found revelation shifted Steven's thinking, resulting in breakthroughs in every area of his life-his marriage, his relationship with his children, family members, and work. 

Steven believes that through the transformative power of God's grace, everyone has an opportunity to experience a "grace encounter" and shift from just existing to abundant living.
