Maureen Perkins

Maureen Perkins is an author, life-coach, and prophetic psalmist. She has over 20 years of experience serving in ministry and working in the non-profit sector. Her ministerial background includes leading praise and worship and performing in several church events and theatrical plays.  As a community outreach and engagement specialist, she works closely with local and state agencies, stakeholders, and leaders in the community, advocating for public safety and violence prevention reforms. 

Maureen, aka Pastor Mo, serves as Co-Pastor alongside her husband, Steven Perkins, Founder and Senior Pastor of New Direction Grace Church-Chicago, since June 2018.  In addition to pastoral counseling, both Maureen and Steven provide premarital and marriage coaching. They recently launched their YouTube channel entitled "Gimme Mo'Steve," where they discuss open and candid topics on marriage and healthy relationships.  Maureen has also co-authored "Wife Life 101,"  an anthology of marriage.  She has four children and has been married for 24 years.  

Maureen's God-given mission is to share the Gospel of Grace with the unchurched and those negatively impacted by religion while using her gifts to promote the love, grace, and mercy of Jesus Christ.
